buttons and ribbons and trims, oh my!

How are you doing? I'm having a crazy busy week, all lovely stuff but I do wish the world had a pause button sometimes!  Thought I'd share some more pictures from my time in Manchester last weekend, these are from a gorgeous Haberdashery stall at a market we visited...

As I'm sure you can imagine, I was a very happy chicken browsing among all that lovely colour and texture!  In fact there was so much to choose from that I didn't have a clue where to start, and just bought a rainbow of zips for cushion covers, and a lovely set of (rainbow again!) heart-topped pins.

Have you been anywhere recently that made you feel excited or inspired or just glad to be alive? I'd love to hear about it!

Happy Friday, I hope you have a great weekend.

  1. I sat on the beach a couple of times this week after a day of working and just felt the sand on my feet and watched the waves, bliss ......

  2. I just bought some pompom trim from Etsy but that store didn't have half as many colours as your picture up there... oh my is right! I'd say your heart did a little jump when you spotted something new and colourful on the stall!

Is it wrong I want to help them colour code their stash? :)

    1. The colour range was fantastic Hazel, but it was messy - I could have spent a very happy hour or two arranging their displays into rainbow order! x

    1. Ha ha I think we all are Jo, especially if we've got little ones - their needs are so many and immediate. Some days I don't feel like I've achieved anything apart from constant feeding, wiping, listening, calming, comforting - and I know that is achievement in itself, but it would be lovely to get off the rollercoaster occasionally! x

    1. I know, it was amazing - so much choice that I just made do with photos and a few zips - next time I won't take the kids, and I'll be able to spend ages choosing a selection of lovely colourful goodies! xx

  8. Did you get that crazed feeling that happens when you come across a shop/stall that is full of amazing goodies? Like a adrenaline fueled haze that makes you want to grab armfuls of stuff and throw your money at the staff? X

    1. I definitely would have if I hadn't had my camera! Luckily taking photos of everything helped me to restrain myself - though of course as soon as I got home I decided that I should have bought lots of things that I didn't - so next time I go there I'll let myself go crazy! x
