this week I've...

...not had much time for blogging!  So here are a few photos of what we've been getting up to over the last 7 days...
sending parcels (here's one just opened by Hazel)...

a magical woodland picnic in the heart of the city ...

kissing tigers...
cutting squares for a quilt (totally failing to fight the urge for rainbow order!)...
 eating dinner outside...
 receiving exciting Finnish birthday gifts...
baking cookies...
It's been a wonderful but busy week - I have also enjoyed our local open house arts trail (which deserves a post all of its own), danced and drank cocktails to celebrate a friend's 40th, spent time with friends, sat in the sun at the park, got the paddling pool out, sourced vintage loveliness for one friend's home and another's wedding...and of course that's just the good stuff, there was plenty if day-to-day tedium and tantrums to fill up any spare moments!

After all that I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend.  Hope you've had a lovely week and that you have a happy sunny weekend!

    1. Ah, thanks lovely! Will post more quilt photos as progress is made, and the cookie recipe is worth sharing one day too. I love that Ikea tray so much, I endured 3 hours there and back stuck in traffic on the bus when 8 months pregnant to buy it, because I was mad with hormones and it seemed very urgent at the time! x

  3. Your quilt is going to be amazing all those wonderful fabrics - that's quite a collection you have there! And I'm a tad (to say the least) envious of those Finnish delights!

    1. Thanks Polly - while my kids have been small and very time consuming, my creative energies have been sidetracked into collecting vintage fabric - now they're getting a bit older I'm starting to play with it all! And the Marimekko has been on my wishlist for years, the time had come...I feel very lucky! x

    1. It's great, it's a tumbler - I don't drink enough water, and I thought if I had something beautiful to drink out of I'd drink more - so far it's working! Hope to see you later. xxx

    1. You're totally welcome Caroline, I really enjoyed sharing a few choice pieces of fabric yumminess! The picnic was at the allotments of our local City Farm, it's a properly beautiful little spot, you can hardly believe you're 100 yards from a main road and a massive supermarket! My birthday's actually this coming Tuesday, but when that box arrived from Skandium, there was no way I could wait till then! Have a great weekend lovely. xxx

    1. Thanks lovely! I'm having so much fun playing around with how to arrange all the fabrics, but I always come back to some kind of a rainbow order, no matter how much I try not to - so I'm just going to go with it and get it out of my system! Looking forward to my birthday treat, thanks! xx
