all the 2s...

I just noticed I've got 2,222 followers on Pinterest! Crazy.  I spend far too much time pinning, and nowhere near enough time sewing (or doing housework, but, you know, where's the fun?).  Here are a few of my favourites of my recent pins...

this amazing vintage Marimekko suitcase ...*sigh* - from my Vintage Loveliness board
this very important reminder, from my Words board
this beautiful baby quilt, from my Quilt and Patch board

this gorgeous autumnal image by Penelope Dullaghan - complete with dog!
I hope you're having a nice day, the weather is crazy here, rainy one minute and sunny the next.  Floyd is settling in nicely, and I'm getting used to the extra work, and the cuddles!  Can't wait to take him out for walks in the autumn leaves, but that's still a way off yet...in the meantime, there's always Pinterest!

    1. I'm really quite embarrassed about my Pinterest addiction, it's so sad! It's just that after a long day and a glass of wine I'm not safe to be near a sewing machine, and I find most TV so boring...I've always been a bit of a hoarder, so now I'm hoarding images! At least they don't take up shelf space...x

    1. You are so welcome, I hope you're feeling a bit brighter today. Support through the tough times is one of the reasons why blogging is so great! xx

    1. I adore that suitcase, I may have to buy a plain white one and go mad with my sharpies in an attempt to replicate its' gorgeousness! Yes autumn is properly here, I love this time of year - though I understand it would be easier to be happy about if the summer had been sunnier! xx

    1. No Tracey, don't go there...it's horribly addictive. I will probably have to give it up one day if I ever actually want to get anything else done! Hope Cookie enjoys her first walk, I'm excited for you! xx

    1. Oh Annie if you go down the road of worrying about what you're missing on Pinterest, it's a very slippery slope! There's always great stuff on there but you can't pin it all! x

    1. Think it's time I had a few days off it Bee - I've got some sewing projects that I've been neglecting, I've had a rotten cold but once I'm feeling better I'll be swapping virtual pins for a real needle and thread. I do love it though, there's so much inspiring craftiness going on out there! xx

  7. Wow, I love that quilt! People are so clever aren't they? I would never have the patience or tenacity to make something like that I'm afraid. Though perhaps it would do me good to try... like a lesson in dedication and taking your time. Do I follow you on Pinterest? I shall go check.

    1. Hello lovely! Yes I love that quilt, I'm thinking of doing a smaller version (in my own style, with vintage fabrics of course) as a cushion cover. Patchwork is great fun but is definitely easier if you can be quite neat and methodical - not something I find comes naturally to me, but the improved results are a good incentive! I'm pretty sure we follow each other on Pinterest, I'd better check too! xx

  8. Hi Rachel, you now have 2,267 followers!! When I'm on Pinterest and the time ticks by, I'm reminded of a poster I once saw which read "Ma'am, move away from the computer"!!! Love it!

    1. Hi Trudy! Yes it's funny, I get more every day, whether I add new pins or not...I do tell myself off if I spend too long on there, and I won't go on it when the kids are around...it's a late evening activity for me, when I don't want to go to bed yet but I don;t trust myself to use the sewing machine cause I've had a glass of wine...or two! xx
