home again, home again....

We're back, refreshed, recharged, rejuvenated.....oh dear, I wrote that bit first thing this morning, then got distracted by unpacking, laundry, hungry children, squabbling, mess, whining, and somewhere along the way I seem to have mislaid that feeling!

We did have a fabulous time, and I will tell you a bit about it tomorrow.  Here are a few photos of beautiful Cornwall, maybe if I look at them for long enough I'll regain that holiday feeling...

aaah, that's better!  Thank you all so much for your lovely comments before I went, I hope you had a good week - I did dip into a few blogs while I was away (hurrah/damn you, tempting Wifi!) but I'm looking forward to catching up with you all over this week, in between the laundry and the refereeing fights over random toys.  Fingers crossed for sunshine tomorrow, I think a trip to the park is in order!

  1. Glad you had a good week Rachel, the lovely fabric you sent me is on the shelf, just admiring it for a while! Getting Craft Withdrawal- very difficult at the moment to get any free time to sew! Look forward to some more great photos from you! Ada :)

    1. I'm so glad you like it Ada! Don't worry, I often keep bits of fabric for ages before doing anything with them - I just gaze at them lovingly! I think I'm going to have to make some soft toys for my boys, it'll be a good way of getting some summer holiday crafting done while also keeping them happy! x

    1. I know, we have returned to non-stop drizzle, and non-stop squabbling! The high point of today will be going to the supermarket, and then I think I will surrender to the weather and we'll all snuggle up under a duvet and watch a film. Some more sunshine before school starts again would be nice though! xx

    1. Thanks Gillian, I'm getting there, slowly but surely! Just letting myself enjoy the pace of being home, we crammed a lot into our time away so it's nice to have a couple of quiet days at home. Just wish we could have brought the blue skies home with us! x

    1. Cornwall is beautiful, it sticks out into the Atlantic and on a sunny day when you look at the turquoise sea you can feel like you're somewhere exotic. I am doing my best to stay relaxed, it works as long as the kids aren't screaming at each other! x

    1. Hi Col, and thanks - we were so lucky with the weather, it rained heavily every night, and we kept being woken up by the wind - and then we'd get up to blue skies and sunshine every day! Perfect. x
