Happy weekend everybody!! Hope you've had a great week, the sun has shone and we're now settled back into being at home. The kids are driving me crackers at times but I try to take a deep breath and smile despite the squabbles and tantrums, me and R will miss M when he's back at school so I don't want to wish away this precious time with him.
The sunshine means we are spending as much time as we can in our little garden, our nasturtiums are taking over but are being thoroughly munched by caterpillars, which is fine by me - there's plenty to go round and they'll be butterflies soon, I like to let nature do it's thing without too much interference.
One of our favourite trips of our holiday was to Trengwainton Gardens, a National Trust property not far from Penzance. It was really stunning, with giant Tree Ferns and a stream running through it, the planting was just beautiful. I got a bit carried away with taking close ups of flowers, I love them so!
Obviously I could not resist the urge to put them in rainbow order! I hope you have a lovely weekend, whatever you do - we don't have anything planned, but I'm sure we'll be out in the sunshine somewhere before long.
Happy Saturday!

That garden was magic. The walled kitchen garden with kings scarecrows was amazing. Love the photo of the pink flower (dunno it's name) beautiful. We will have to a park trip next week x
ReplyDeleteWasn't it great there? Yes Max loved the kitchen garden, it was such a brilliant idea. I don't know that flower's name either, my Mum did tell me, but I forgot! I'll text you about the park, Friday might be best day for us. xxx
DeleteWhat beautiful flowers and gorgeous photos! Lovely!

Thanks Jo, I really enjoyed taking these, I'm glad you like them! x
DeleteLovely flowers and I'm impressed with the rainbow arrangement :)
ReplyDeleteThank you - the rainbow order thing is a little quirk of mine, I find it hard to mix colours up randomly - sometimes I try, but it's hard to fight the urge! :)
DeleteThe top pic is my fave- just beautiful, Jxx
ReplyDeleteI think that's my favourite too, the water lilies were so beautiful. xx
DeleteStunning pictures - really great composition :) I do miss such a variety of flowers, I must admit. Finland has a lot, but not so much colour. However at the local university are two huge greenhouses (shaped like pyramids and called Romeo and Juliet) with 'exotic' plants eg hydrangeas and fuschias, inside! They are heated all through winter too. Did someone say carbon footprint?! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karin, that really means a lot to me coming from you, as your photos are so amazing! It is funny to think of plants like that being considered 'exotic', we are so used to them in our gardens in the UK. You have a great weekend too! x
DeleteI love the National Trust places they are always fab! Wonderful flowers! Ada :)
ReplyDeleteI only recently got membership, and we are really making the most of it - it's great! x
DeleteJust popping over from Ada's to say Hi :D Wow at the red (with yellow) in your lovely rainbow. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for popping over, and for the Wow, I love that one too! Rachel :)
DeleteMother Nature made some pretty special things! The pollen structures are so intricate and your photos certainly do them justice. Gorgeous! X
ReplyDeleteThank you, what a lovely comment! The more I looked at all these flowers the more mesmerised I became by their beauty and complexity. Nature is amazing. x
DeleteI think I need to heed your advice - take a deep breath and smile. Crackers! Those photos are lovely, by the way x
ReplyDeleteI don't always manage it, but if I can it seems to help! Crackers indeed. Glad you like the photos. x
DeleteSo beautiful that if we didn't know such beauty existed, we would maybe not believe it.
