99!! and 7!!

Wowzers, I have been so lazy about blogging recently but somehow lovely people have found me and I am up to 99 followers!! Am a bit blown away by this, especially as it's only about 6 months since I started sharing my life and vintage & fabric loves in this little corner of blogworld.

I am in a bit of a tizzy tonight, wrapping presents for M's birthday (his party was last weekend but he's 7 tomorrow); I can't believe my baby is such a big boy now!

This is my favourite baby photo, it was taken when he was less than a day old...

this is his Dad's favourite photo of him when he was a baby, love the cheeky face!...

And here we are, 7 years later - and I cannot even begin to understand the wonderful, magical process by which the tiny baby has grown into this big, funny, sensitive, imaginative, energetic boy...

He's great. Tomorrow will be a blur of Lego, Hex Bugs, cake, and hopefully not too much rain!

I hope you all have a great weekend, thanks for popping in and taking the time to read my ramblings, you're all gorgeous!

    1. Oh, if I could find that pause button I reckon I'd still be sat sniffing his soft little baby head. I'm thankful that they're both still so little, secondary school still feels a long way off - I can only imagine how you feel about that! Have a lovely weekend Ada. Rach x

    1. Yay thanks Mel, I'm so surprised and pleased about having 101 followers! 6 is a great age, 7 seems to come with a big burst of testosterone! I love that black and white photo so much, it was taken by a friend who is a photographer, she doesn't live near me but she happened to be in town the day after he was born - a very lucky bit of timing. x

    1. Hi Heather, welcome and thanks for following. It is so emotional for us, this growing up business! They are just busy playing and doing and being, and I stand back and watch in wonder as they change and grow before my eyes. Amazing to think they will be all grown up so soon. Have a great week! 12. Well done you on all your followers! Have you got any tips, I havent reached double figures yet...

My eldest is 7 and my youngest is 2. With my daughter, I was always pushing for the next stage, looking forward to whatever came next. With my little one, I really treasure every day I get with him. They are only little for such a short time.

  13. Hi Mama, and thanks! I don't know about tips, I suppose I read a fair few blogs and leave comments on quite a lot of them; I was quite good about posting frequently for the first few months but I have not been posting quite so much recently.

Our kids are the same ages, my little one will be 3 in October - I'm so glad he's not going to pre-school this year, I'm really enjoying every day with him because I know once he's at school I'll miss this time at home with him loads. It does whizz by! x

  14. Hope he had an ace day! My little one turned 3 in April and will be going to school in Sept. Where I live you can send them a full day to a nursery within a school the day they hit 3 if you wish. I've decided to send her a half day for a while to see how it goes... Sometimes it breaks my heart that soon she won't be around me 24/7 but then other times I secretly look forward to having a little more time for myself and my work. You know how it is. X

    1. Oh I know exactly how it is Anna! It is lovely having a bit of child free time, but I remember coming home from dropping Max off for his first day at nursery and crying because the house was so quiet and stil. All I could think about was all the things I'd planned to do with him before he went to school that I hadn't got around to doing...I can't even remember what any of them were now! You'll miss her but it's great that she can start on half a day and build up from there, she'll love it! x
