I have just put together my 2nd ever Etsy treasury, hooray - why do I always think I haven't got time, it didn't take me that long! I suppose it's just a question of what I'm in the mood for...
I'm gradually building a collection of rather lovely vintage crockery and kitchen bits, I really must take some photos to share with you. Most of my pieces are in my favourite palette of greens and blues, and I've been browsing Etsy for a few treats that would not look out of place in my cupboard; here they are for your delectation and delight....
I actually already own one of these pieces, can you guess which one? It was a favourite Pinterest pic a few months ago...and when my birthday rolled around my lovely F treated me, it was a tad extravagant but it gets used every day and I love it a lot!
Having said that curating the treasury didn't take that long, it just took me ages to figure out how to actually get it to appear here...but I did it! A small achievement, but it has made me feel like not working for the last 8 years hasn't completely robbed me of my ability to figure out technical IT stuff. That gives me a bit of confidence that I will be capable of setting up and maintaining my Etsy shop when R goes to nursery. I have had to relucantly admit to myself that until I have some childcare I really can't spare the time, I don't want to look back on the years when he was small and realise I spent them staring at the computer!
Wishing you a bright sunny day full of simple joys,
Rachel x
Love the Nordic saucers! Nice work Rachel :)
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine you'd be using a fondue set each day so I'm going to guess that you already have that beautiful bowl on the second row. Am I right?
Nice work Lottie, right first time. No, despite my love for melted cheese, a fruit bowl is definitely more useful than a fondue set! I have a serious weakness for mid-century Finnish enamel bowls - I also have a Kaj Franck Mushroom bowl, but I really should stop at those 2...x
DeleteI think you need to donate the mushroom bowl to a friend of yours! :) xx will text you later xx
ReplyDeleteha ha nice try love, but I don't think so...much as I love you! Do please text me cause I've broken my stupid smart phone and I'm using my old phone which doesn't have your number on it...D'oh! xx
DeleteI love the lime colours here, this is the first time in my life I've had any spare time! Would much prefer a job though! Hopefully one day! Ada :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ada, yes spare time's a funny thing, when we've got it we often don't want it, and when we haven't we obsess about getting it! Good luck with getting back to work one day, though with your industrious fingers maybe you could create a little Etsy job for yourself in the meantime! x
DeleteI can't take it no more: Yesterday the sweetest (OK second to sweetest otherwise our dog will get jealous) pictures of this furry man and now all the yumminess in my fav colour. Are you doing this on purpose? ;P p.s.: it's raining really badly here in Arnhem...yay, hehe. X
ReplyDeleteSorry Chantal, I don't mean to bombard you with such fabulous temptations, I just can't help it! I love green too, it's such a great colour for all seasons. Hope it's stopped raining, but I know you'll be smiling even if it hasn't! xx
DeleteLove the beautiful green bowl and the modflowers plate ... great treasury ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteHi Bee, glad you like it...I love that bowl so much that I had to have one exactly the same for my birthday! And yes that set of Mod floral plates is really nice too, lucky I'm running out of room in my cupboard of vintage joy or I'd be tempted...x
DeleteYay well done, it's a gorgeous treasury. Im sure you will set up an Etsy shop no problem when the time comes. I have put my ideas for an Etsy shop on hold until Archie goes to nursery too, I feel like time is wooshing by as it is lately without trying to fit something else in. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline, yes I think we've both got the right idea really...it's great to have plans and ambitions but our kids are only young once and they're growing up so fast - I don't want to wish it away because I'm too busy to enjoy it! xx
DeleteA wise woman, you. With impeccable taste!

Ah, thanks Rachel! x
DeleteLovely finds! Also just wanted to say that Floyd nearly made me cry he is so cute! I found it hard at first with Morten, because I am a bit of a tidy freak and privately wondered if we had done the right thing. Once he responded to the training and you see how happy your love makes them, you forget all the stress. It took about 2 weeks to get him sorted. No time at all. Really happy that you have all found each other. Morten is so special to me. Xx
ReplyDeleteAah, that's so sweet! I can definitely manage 2 weeks of craziness, I was imagining months but we are both reading puppy training books and we're getting the house ready with stair gates etc so we can keep a close eye on him. I'm sure the first weeks will be mad but I reckon it'll be worth it - every time I look at pictures of him I squeal! xx
DeleteLove it all Rachel- you know how much I LOVE green! Lucky you with that bowl- its lush, Jo xx
ReplyDeleteI did think of you and your lovely place mats when I was looking at all the green gorgeousness on Etsy! I love that bowl so much - mine wasn't quite as expensive as the one on Etsy, I'm not insane! Hard to justify a £50 fruit bowl when we've got 2 kids to feed and clothe! xx
DeleteIt's a gorgeous treasury, full of good things. And it's very "you"! Good luck with the etsy shop, that sounds like an excellent plan. x
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it Gillian, and glad you like my Etsy plan too...lots to think about while Rufus is still at home, then it's business time! x
