Here's a few more pics of the Vintage market on Sunday, I got a bit carried away with my camera as you can see...
a rail of pretty aprons - the fruity one was hard to resist....
I like the cheeky expressions on these 2's faces...
some more lovely patterns, I was very taken with the orange, yellow and turquoise circles....
I got chatting to the lady who runs this stall, she had 2 lamp bases that need nice vintage shades, I make lampshades out of vintage fabric - hopefully we'll do a swap...could be the start of a beautiful friendship!
and finally, the curtains that couldn't be resisted....
I must take a better photo of them, but this will do for now. Me and Lou liked the way the zig-zag pattern looks like giant ric-rac, and I'm a sucker for a daisy shaped flower, so they came home with me, along with a lovely mid-century tea towel. My tea towel collection will be shared another day, they deserve at least one post all to themselves!
Hope today is treating you well, thanks for popping by.

I love the patterns here, especially the curtains! Great post, its like being there! Jx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo, glad you like the photos - I'm a total pattern addict, so carrying a camera makes life cheaper - I can collect the patterns without having to buy the object! Though the curtains were too good to leave behind. x
DeleteOOO can't wait to see what you make out of those lush curtains! x
ReplyDeletethere will definitely be a cushion cover or 2, and I picked up a 60s kitchen stool the other day that needs recovering...oh the possibilities! x
DeleteI found the cutest piece of flower fabric on sunday, it's on my FB page, I am just making some cushions with it, plus another couple with fabrics I do keep ! Love the apron :-)
ReplyDeleteI just looked at your facebook page, that fabric is gorgeous, and the 50s dress with the buttons! :)
DeleteSuch great finds - Love the curtains and some of those scarves look fab too.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great place to just wander around and see what you find...I've got a friend who collects vintage scarves, so I'm taking her with me next time!
DeleteLooks like a great place, those curtains are fab - will make lovely cushions x
ReplyDeleteIt's such fun having a couple of hours off to potter around a place like that - I hope you get the chance sometimes too! It can be hard to make the time for it but it's so worth it for the treasures that you can find. x
